A British far-right activist trying to get elected to the European Parliament has been doused in milkshake twice in two days by opponents.

Tommy Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was in Bury, Manchester, on Wednesday (UK time) when "some Muslim supporter" - his words - threw a flavoured drink over him.

The bizarre incident was followed by another dousing, this time in Warrington.

Video shows the founder of the English Defence League talking to a man of Asian descent.

Danyal Mahmud told newspaper Asian Image Robinson singled him out as "the only Asian guy there".

"I said to him I do not wish to speak to you on or off camera. I just got annoyed with him. A milkshake 'slipped' out of my hand."

The footage shows Mahmud shaking his head as Robinson talks, before smirking and splashing the McDonald's shake right into his opponent's face.

Robinson lets loose a flurry of punches, but the pair are quickly separated.

"That's what you get for being a fascist, you f***ing Nazi prick," the person filming the incident shouts. People nearby whoop and applaud. One man appears to challenge the cameraman to a fight, but is held back by a woman.

Robinson said the two milky run-ins wouldn't stop his bid for power.

"No amount of punches, milkshakes, attacks or anything is going to stop me," he said in a video after the second incident.

The Independent reports he's asked the police to lay charges. Police say they're looking into it.

Robinson featured in another viral clip earlier in the week, being asked if he was "just spouting shite" by a woman with a pram he was trying to win over.

Robinson, who has used a number of pseudonyms over the years, has previously been involved with Nigel Farage's former party UKIP and the fascist British National Party.
