A two-year-old from Minnesota who was reported missing by his family was found by authorities at a local fair - after driving himself there on his toy tractor.

Kenneth Allen embarked on his journey after remembering the Chisago County Fair was a mere two blocks from his home, his mother Lynn told ABC News.

The tractor-savvy toddler took matters into his own hands after his mum told him he'd be going to the fair with his grandfather.

After riding his toy tractor around the family yard, Kenneth took off on his adventure. Allen and her husband, Kris, immediately panicked and called 911 after realising Kenneth had vanished, ABC News reports.

Ten minutes after informing local authorities, the Allen's were told Kenneth had been found safe and sound by the sheriff's office at the fair.

Chisago County Sheriff's Office posted about the travelling tot on their Facebook page, writing: "He was reunited with Dad who promptly suspended his son's license by removing the battery."

Kenneth was reportedly disappointed when the fun police put a halt to his fairground feat.

Lynn Allen said the family are planning to go to the fair on Saturday afternoon (local time) - without the tractor in tow.
