UK police are investigating dramatic video footage showing a man being hit by a car in a busy market in Newcastle.
The footage shows two men getting into a black car while a woman bangs on the windshield with her shoe.
The car then drives forward, flinging the woman onto the ground before attempting to drive away. A man is seen running after the car, which suddenly starts reversing before speeding forward and hitting the man, who is flung onto the ground. The driver then flees the scene.

Northumbria police said they received reports of a fight in Groat Market, Newscastle shortly after 9pm on Saturday.
Acting Insp Michelle Jahangiri said they have launched an investigation and are trying to track down those involved.
"This is a very serious incident that happened in a busy street in Newcastle city centre," she said.
Jahangiri said the behaviour is "totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated".
"This could have resulted in a very serious injury.
"We are aware of footage circulating on social media regarding the incident, and would ask members of the public to respect the ongoing investigation."
"Officers are the process of identifying the victims and offenders involved, and will take robust action against anybody found to be involved."
