An Australian woman has been left terrified and disgusted after finding a "creepy" note on her windscreen asking if she would sell her underwear.

Tess Scorrar returned from her walk at Nudgee Beach in Brisbane on Sunday to find the handwritten note on her car.

"Hello, I think your [sic] very attractive!!! If your [sic] interested, I would like to pay you cash for your panties, I'll meet you on the side of road back to town," it read.

"Just pull over I'll find you."

Scorrar told ABC News the discovery of the "creepy as all hell" message left her too frightened to leave in case she was followed.

"It was broad daylight, in the middle of the day, families everywhere, the whole place was completely chockers," she said.

"It's always full of people, it's somewhere I go pretty much every single weekend. I go there and walk my dog by myself. So to have this one time when I've actually been with someone... and to come back and find this letter, it was a little bit disturbing to say the least."

Scorrar originally posted a photo of the note to Facebook, where she was convinced to file a police report.

She told ABC News police were investigating and were now conducting extra patrols at the beach.
