A US nursing home has been fined after multiple residents tested positive for cocaine.
RegalCare, in Connecticut's New Haven, was cited for US$1680 (NZ$2684) in fines after several drug-related incidents, News Times reports. In one case, a resident claimed they got the drugs from a nurse’s aide.

In April 2018, Connecticut's Department of Public Health stated that one resident was seen passing around a dollar bill with white powder on it.
Two weeks later, another resident was found unresponsive on the floor. They tested positive for cocaine and opiates.
Then, just a day later, a methadone clinic called up saying a different resident had tested positive for cocaine, according to the Department of Public Health.
That resident said they had got the drugs from another resident - who claimed they got the drugs from a nurse's aide. The aide was fired soon afterwards.
RegalCare has refused to comment.
