Convicted killer Jaymes Todd is appealing his 35-year sentence for the rape and murder of aspiring comedian, Eurydice Dixon, in Melbourne.
Todd was sentenced to life in prison in September for the brutal June 2018 attack, with a minimum non-parole period of 35 years.

Eurydice Dixon was stalked for more than an hour by Todd, then 19, as she walked home from a comedy gig on June 12, 2018. Todd raped and murdered the 22-year-old as she crossed through Princes Park in Melbourne's Carlton North.
After the killing, Todd purchased a pie and coffee before heading back to the crime scene, googling rape and pornography as well as information about his victim.
Todd has since been diagnosed with sexual sadism disorder.
Justice Stephen Kaye said during the sentencing that Todd's disorder and "dark and sick fantasy", which involved a violent rape ending in a woman's death, drove the crime. He said Todd's mild autism did not play a role.
Justice Kaye also noted Todd's upbringing in "complete squalor" as a mitigating factor.
