Astonishing footage shows Greek factory torn apart by destructive tornado

Astonishing footage of a Greek factory being blown apart by a destructive tornado has been captured by a security camera.

The video - taken by Κalamata Papadimitriou and provided to Associated Press - was captured at a factory in Greece's Thouria Kalamatas on November 4, when a tornado swept through the area.

Debris can be seen flying around the sky as strong winds blow two tall trees in the background. Moments later, the full force of the tornado hits the factory and chaos ensues.

The camera and building it is attached to begins to shake before a large section of metal panels are blasted off the factory, thrown to the ground and swept up into the sky by the weather event.

Euronews reports that 60 workers were inside at the time, but no casualties were reported.

One of the factory's warehouses was destroyed, according to local media. The factory was a major producer of balsamic dressing.
