A Florida man caught with cocaine in his car had an unusual excuse for police - the wind blew the drug in.

Joseph Zak, 37, was pulled over in Fort Pierce, Florida, earlier in November after he failed to yield at a stop sign.

An officer then spotted Zak making "furtive movements" and "attempting to discard an item out the passenger window", according to his affidavit.

He was also reportedly had "blood-shot eyes, glossy eyes, and was slurring his words".

His vehicle was then searched, with officers finding a crack pipe and a baggie with a white substance in it which tested positive for crack cocaine.

But Zak denied any responsibility, claiming "the police or the wind must have placed it there".

It wasn't enough to save him from arrest however and he's been charged with multiple offences including drug crimes.
