A man in Australia is expected to lose both of his feet on Tuesday after falling onto the tracks in front of an oncoming train.
The incident happened at Town Hall station around midday, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The man, in his 60s, slipped on the tracks just seconds before a train arrived in the station, reported News.com.au. He then desperately tried to crawl out before being hit.
Police said he fell as a result of a "misadventure" and both his feet were run over and crushed as he tried to get out of the way of the train, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
Multiple police and ambulance crews were called to the scene and trains were stopped while paramedics treated the man.
He suffered a part amputation of one of his feet, severe facial lacerations and lower limb injuries, Australian media report.
He was then taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman told 7 News amputations would have likely been carried out once he arrived.
