Uncovered emails reveal Prince Andrew asked Jeffrey Epstein's former girlfriend about Virginia Giuffre

Prince Andrew sent an email to a former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein asking for information about his sex accuser.

Emails between the Prince and his close friend Ghislaine Maxwell were uncovered by BBC Panorama as part of a documentary on him.

Virginia Giuffre - then known as Virginia Roberts - claimed she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew on three occasions in 2001 and 2002 when she was 17-years-old.

In his email sent to Maxwell on January 3, 2015 at 5:50am, the Prince told her: "Let me know when we can talk. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia Roberts."

She replied: "Have some info. Call me when you have a moment."

The email was sent after a court filing in the United States where Giuffre anonymously named Prince Andrew as a sex abuser.

Giuffre, now 35, told Panorama she was trafficked by Epstein and passed around his powerful friends "like a platter of fruit".

She claims after a night of partying at London's exclusive Tramp nightclub, she was forced to entertain the Prince.

"Well there was a bath and it started there and then it led into the bedroom and it didn't last very long, the whole entire procedure.

"It was disgusting. He wasn't mean or anything, but he got up and he said thanks and walked out," she told Panorama.

Prince Andrew said he has no recollection of meeting Giuffre and categorically denies having sex with her.

He stepped back from royal duties in November following a controversial interview about his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.
