Donald Trump takes another swing at Greta Thunberg during World Economic Forum

US President Donald Trump has taken another swing at climate activist Greta Thunberg during the second day of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

During a press conference on Wednesday in Switzerland, Trump was asked what he thought of her criticism on his administration's climate track record. His previous comment on Thunberg's apparent "anger" was also brought up.

"I didn't say anger, I said anger management," Trump said.

"How old is she?" he asked, cutting off the reporter who was asking about his response to climate action.

"She's 17," several reporters are heard saying.

"Oh, that's good. She beat me out of Time magazine."

Thunberg was named as Time's Person of the Year in 2019. Trump criticised both her and the magazine at the time, calling it "ridiculous" and suggesting that she "go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend" instead of being a climate activist.

When further questioned at the press conference about Thunberg's climate message, Trump said he would've "loved" to have watched her speech at the WEF.

But he also recommended that she focuses on countries other than the US, which he claimed was "clean and beautiful" where "everything is good".

"Our numbers are very good, our environmental numbers. Our water numbers, our numbers on the air are tremendous. We have to do something about other continents and other countries," he said.

During his first day of the WEF, Trump decried climate activists in his keynote speech as "prophets of doom", and called for a rejection of "predictions of the apocalypse".

Trump didn't directly name Thunberg, who was sitting in the audience.

Thunberg later criticised political leaders in her speech, saying: "In case you hadn't noticed, [the world] is currently on fire."
