Pet owners have shared touching before and after transformation pictures of their animals.
The photos posted to the 'BeforeNAfterAdoption' Reddit thread show the "before" shots of miserable, dishevelled looking pets before their owners met them.
"After" images show happy, healthy animals and the difference a bit of love and care can do for a creature.
One popular Reddit post shows the "before" state of a starving, mangy dog. In the photo, the dog which is a husky appears to be tied by a chain to its neck.
The image post-adoption shows a completely unidentifiable, happy and healthy dog under the care of its new owner.
Poignant stories behind the images have touched the hearts of animal lovers worldwide.
One person commented, "If there is an afterlife and day of judgment that dog will be a helluva witness for at least two cases".
