Woman wanted over crash that killed UK teen Harry Dunn was former CIA agent - report

The wife of a US diplomat who allegedly killed a UK teen in a car crash was also a former CIA agent, according to a report.

Harry Dunn was riding his motorcycle on August 27 when Anne Sacoolas reportedly drove out of the RAF Croughton US Air Force base onto the wrong side of the road, allegedly hitting him head-on.

Sacoolas subsequently claimed diplomatic immunity and fled back to the US in October.

In a report in The Mail on Sunday, it's now been revealed Sacoolas was believed to have worked as a spy for the CIA.

"In our deepest, darkest hour, we could not understand how anybody could just get on a plane after such a catastrophic crash and leave a devastated family behind," said Charlotte Charles, Harry's mum.

"Whether or not you are a CIA officer, a diplomat or anyone else, the Vienna Convention states that you must abide by and respect the rules and regulations of the host country," Charles told The Mail.

Her and Harry's dad Tim Dunn had previously appealed to US President Donald Trump to waive diplomatic immunity for Anne Sacoolas.

In an interview with the BBC in October, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he hoped Sacoolas would return to Britain.
