Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife has contracted coronavirus (COVID-19).

Trudeau's office confirmed the news on Thursday night and said Sophie Gregoire Trudeau is feeling well but will remain in isolation.

Justin Trudeau will also be isolated for 14 days as a precaution.

The leader of Canada's opposition, Jagmeet Singh is also working from home as he feels unwell. Singh says he has been in contact with a doctor and does not have the virus but has been urged to isolate as a precaution.
