A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Samoa on Wednesday morning.
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning System, the quake hit at 5:06am, around 216km southwest of Tutuila Island in American Samoa.
It was around 55km deep and had a preliminary magnitude of 6.1.
No tsunami warning was issued.
