Large 7.3 magnitude earthquake hits off coast of Papua New Guinea

A large earthquake has struck off the eastern coast of Papua New Guinea.

The quake registered as 7.3 on the Richter scale, but there is no threat of a tsunami according to a Google public alert.

It hit at 2:50pm at a depth of 85km. People have reported feeling shaking more than 300km from the quakes epicenter.
