Ex-lawyer claims Donald Trump leered at his 15-year-old daughter

Donald Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen has claimed the US President leered at his then 15-year-old daughter in 2012.

Cohen worked closely for Trump for years before turning against him.

Currently, Cohen is finishing a three-year sentence in home confinement for tax evasion, bank fraud, campaign finance violations, tax fraud and making false statements to Congress.

Cohen has now written a tell-all book on his time working with the US President which is scheduled for release on Tuesday (US Time).

The Associated Press, which obtained snippets of the book, said Cohen wrote that Trump leered at his then 15-year-old daughter while at his New Jersey golf club eight years ago.

When Cohen told him she was his daughter, Trump replied: "When did she get so hot?"

The incident was one of many parts of the book fixated on Trump's interactions with women, the Associated Press reported.

In another snippet, Cohen said Trump ogled at contestants during a Miss Universe pageant and boasted he could "have all of them" if he wanted.

Cohen also claimed to have seen Trump corner and forcibly kiss women at his office.

But the White House has denounced the book's claims as "fan fiction".

"[Cohen] readily admits to lying routinely but expects people to believe him now so that he can make money from book sales," White House spokesman Brian Morgenstern said in a statement to the Associated Press.

"It's unfortunate that the media is exploiting this sad and desperate man to attack President Trump."

Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told Business Insider AU Cohen has "lost all credibility" and said he is trying to profit off lies.

Also in the book, Trump allegedly made disparaging comments about black world leaders including former South African President Nelson Mandela, the Washington Post reported.

According to the newspaper Cohen wrote that following his death in 2013, Trump said Mandela had "f***ed the whole country up".

"Now it's a sh*thole. F**k Mandela. He was no leader."
