"I have a head."

A man has been arrested after a decapitated head was paraded through the streets in south-west Spain.

Police in the city of Huelva were called on Halloween afternoon after the man was seen carrying the head in a bag, which local media say he was showing to children.

"The kid was not very old, he arrived at the container and there were two or three kids, and he told them: 'Here, you want a human head'," the huelvainformacion website reports.

The man then threw the bag into a container and ran off, chased by witnesses.

After the National Police launched an operation, the rest of the deceased's body was found inside their home.

He's been identified as Cándido, a man close to 60 who worked unloading fish. He lived close to the man accused of murdering him, and they were reportedly friends.

According to Spanish reports, the person arrested is a man in his 50s nicknamed 'The Mexican' with multiple police and criminal records.

"They say he's a hitman," one local told ABC.
