A helicopter delivering a donor heart crashed onto the roof of a hospital in Los Angeles - but this was just the start of a serious series of accidents.
The medical helicopter crashed onto the roof of the Keck Hospital of USC helipad around 3:15pm on Friday afternoon (local time).
Dramatic footage shows the helicopter spinning towards the edge of the roof before crashing on its side.
The Los Angeles Fire Department rescued the vital organ from the helicopter and it was handed to a waiting doctor.
Unfortunately, as the doctor was carrying it to safety they tripped and fell, dropping the heart.
Luckily, the organ wasn't damaged, KTLA reported.
The pilot received minor injuries and the two other people onboard had no serious injuries, according to LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart.
