Hillary Clinton has trolled US President Donald Trump on Twitter following his ban from the social media site on Saturday.

As the news of Trump's permanent account ban spread, Clinton had the last laugh, sharing her own tweet from June 2016 with a checkmark emoji.

In the old tweet she shared, she had retweeted Trump telling him "delete your account".

Since his ban, all of Trump's tweets have been deleted which is why it can't be read on Hillary's retweet.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump's tweet originally said: "Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary. He wants four more years if Obama - but nobody else does."

Trump's Twitter account was banned on Saturday due to the "risk of further incitement of violence" after he posted two tweets during Wednesday's Capitol riots.

On Friday, Trump wrote on Twitter: "The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape, or form!!!"

Shortly after he wrote: "To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th."

In a statement, Twitter said: "Our determination is that the two tweets above are likely to inspire others to replicate the violent acts that took place on January 6, 2021."

Trump has also been 'indefinitely' suspended from Facebook and Instagram.

Twitter users enjoyed Clinton's trolling, one user commenting: "QUEEN. Losing his Twitter hurts him more than losing the Presidency. That's what makes it so fun."

Others weren't so happy.

"Unbelievable that you celebrate this," another wrote.
