A leaked video of an unidentified flying object disappearing into the ocean was filmed by the US Navy, it has been revealed.
Investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell posted the footage of the mysterious looking UFO off the coast of San Diego on Instagram.
The Pentagon, headquarters of the US Department of Defense, later confirmed that the clip was captured by a Navy sailor in July 2019.
"What we're seeing is a true UFO," Corbell told The Hill's Rising on Tuesday.
"And in fact, what's so interesting about this footage is it has now been confirmed by the Pentagon that it's actual Navy-filmed footage."
In the footage, the unidentified object appears to have descended into the water without destruction.
"There were attempts to recover wreckage or to find this vehicle under the water by submarine and they were unsuccessful."
"Really what we're seeing is astounding footage of an unidentified UFO that is spherical in shape and large in mass and it is going into the water.
"It's so far advanced, it's beyond next-generation technology."
The footage is being reviewed by a government task force, which will brief Congress on its findings next month.
"It's time to tell the truth about UFOs," Corbell told channel 7's Sunrise.
"We can no longer deny that UFOs are real, there is a UFO presence on planet earth."
