Prince Charles has posted on Instagram a touching tribute to his late father Prince Phillip, on his first Father's Day without him.

"To all Papas everywhere, and to those who may be missing their Dads today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special #FathersDay" the post read, with a black and white photo of young Charles and his late dad who passed away in April.

There were also snaps of Duchess Camilla with her father and Charles with his sons William and Harry.

Buckingham Palace also marked the bitter-sweet day by remembering Prince Phillip as a father, posting an old photograph of the family, showing Philip with Charles as a toddler.

The Queen can also be seen with her father King George VI.

Prince William was also honored by Duchess of Cambridge Kate and their children, along with the other royal fathers on social media.

Prince Harry and Megan Markle are no longer on their royal social media accounts, but recently welcomed their daughter Lilibet Diana to the world making Harry a father of two.
