A Florida woman who "threw a violent tantrum" inside a McDonald's after getting upset that workers weren't making her order fast enough has been arrested.

Tianis Jones, 22, was in the drive-thru at the Lakeland branch on Thursday, but soon stormed inside after she became enraged at the time it was taking to get her order.

Sheriff Grady Judd, from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, said that Jones had placed a special online order, but staff had got a few things wrong when she arrived at the drive-thru, so they asked her to wait while they fixed it.

"Well, she got McMad," Judd said during a press conference.

Jones was so enraged that she walked inside and up to the main counter where she started complaining to an employee. After about a minute, Judd said that she started getting violent by throwing a small plastic sign at the worker, and then several bottles. She then walked behind the counter and threw cups onto the ground and at workers.

One of Jones' relatives then arrived to try and calm her down.

Jones was asked to leave the store multiple times, Judd said, but despite this, she didn't move and called 911 from her phone.

"I'm five months pregnant. These people don't know how to run a motherf***ing McDonald's," she told the operator.

Judd said the entire commotion lasted about 10 minutes before Jones' relative and another woman convinced her to leave.

As Jones got to the exit, Judd said she turned towards the employees, lifted her shirt to expose her stomach, then turned around and "began twerking".

"I don't know why this woman got as angry as she was, but as the saying goes, she's a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Her actions were outrageous, especially for a place where small children often visit," Judd said.

"And she caused about $100 in damages since the items she threw on the floor can't be used for customers. She better not complain about the food we serve her at the county jail."

Jones was arrested by officers on Friday night and she was charged with burglary with assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and misuse of 911.
