A young Ukrainian girl has been praised for her bravery after a video was posted of her singing the Ukrainian national anthem while she was getting bandaged up in hospital.

The video was shared on social media of the young girl singing ‘Shche ne vmerla Ukrayina’, which roughly translated to 'Ukraine has not perished.'

Ukrainian politician Anton Gerashchenko shared the video of the girl singing to his Twitter page on Wednesday (local time) with the caption: "Unbreakable. A little girl sings Ukrainian anthem while she getting her bandages."

Thousands of people liked and commented on the politician's post applauding the girl for her bravery.

One user said: "Beautiful child, beautiful voice, bless her little heart sending her heartwarming hugs and wishing her a speedy recovery."

Another said: "Good girl! Be proud of your nation - be proud of your people!"

Metro UK reported it is unclear how the girl sustained her injuries.

The video comes after another young girl was praised for singing the song 'Let it Go' from the Disney movie 'Frozen' in a bomb shelter in Kyiv back in March.

The video of the young girl singing the popular Disney soundtrack racked up over 17 million views on Twitter.
