In a rare moment, London, one of the world's busiest cities, stood entirely still on Thursday morning (NZ time) as Queen Elizabeth's coffin was carried in procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.
Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the coffin before Her Majesty was left to lie in state, giving the public a chance to pay their respects.
