A video on TikTok has gone viral after showing Norwegian babies outside asleep in their strollers in freezing temperatures.
The video shows 22-year-old Australian Olly Bowman walking by the unaccompanied infants who were peacefully napping outside in the middle of February.
"Another day in Norway, another group of babies left out alone in the cold," he said in the video.
"It helps with their breathing and makes them more independent," he added.
Putting babies outside to nap in the winter is common practice in Nordic countries such as Norway and Iceland.
Bowman (@mrmelk_) has over 200,000 TikTok followers who keep up with his account as he makes his way around Europe.
"I just know I would accidentally walk away with the wrong carriage," one TikTok user said.
"Baby's need their parents close. I could never leave mine outside alone no matter how safe it is," another said.
A number of people commenting were from the US and admitted they were jealous Norway is safe enough to leave babies unattended.
"I can't even fathom living in a society that safe," one person said.
"As an American I could never imagine such a safe world," another said.
The TikTok video has been viewed 14 million times.
