An Australian rest home worker has been arrested after allegedly raping a resident at an aged care facility, local police say.
In a statement on Friday, South Australia Police confirmed the 47-year-old Adelaide man has been charged with three counts of rape.
"Police will allege a man working at the facility sexually assaulted a 79-year-old resident on three separate occasions between January and February," the statement said.
"Following an investigation by Southern District CIB, detectives arrested a 47-year-old eastern suburbs man on Friday, February 24 and charged him with three counts of rape."
The man was due to appear in Adelaide's Christies Beach Magistrates Court later this month.
