A magnitude 6.4 earthquake has struck south of Tonga, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported on Sunday night.
The quake hit at a depth of 40km, EMSC said, adjusting the magnitude up from 6.1.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck at 7:16pm.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said there isn't a tsunami threat at this stage.
