US man Donald Day arrested over inciting violence online in Australian police massacre

A US man has been arrested and charged with inciting a murder that took place thousands of kilometres away from him in Queensland, Australia.

It comes after two brothers and their lover shot and killed a neighbour and two Queensland police (QPS) officers at a property in Wieambilla in December 2022.

On Thursday, the FBI revealed US YouTuber Donald Day had fuelled their hatred for police in a warped online world.

Constables Rachel McCrow, 29, Matthew Arnold, 26, and innocent neighbour Alan Dare, 58, were gunned down on a remote bushland property by two brothers, Gareth and Nathaniel, and their lover Stacey.

"The FBI and QPS worked jointly and endlessly to bring this man to justice," FBI representative Nitiana Mann said.

A forensic analysis of their online world revealed they'd exchanged many messages laden with conspiracy theories since 2020.

"The man repeatedly sent messages containing Christian end-of-day ideology to Gareth and then later to Stacey," said QPS Assistant Commissioner Cheryl Scanlon.

It was a warped worldview that led to the deadly ambush at the Queensland property - actions Day celebrated.

"Exactly what they were supposed to do and that is to kill these f**king devils," Day recorded himself saying.

Day has appeared in court and could face five years in jail if found guilty.
