Video: Lydia Ko named Sportswoman of the Year at Halberg Awards

Lydia Ko has won a consecutive Sportswoman of the Year title at the 52nd Halberg Awards.

Ko had a phenomenal year in 2014, earning a $1.5m payday and winning the CME Championships late in the year and went on to become the youngest ever No.1 in world golf early this year.

The 17-year-old golf phenomenon also won the Supreme Award last year and is again in the running for this year's award which Four of the last seven Sportswoman of the Year winners have gone on to win.

Ko beat out shot putter Valerie Adams, rower Emma Twigg and kayaker Lisa Carrington.
