The nurse in the United Kingdom who committed suicide after being duped by a hoax phone call from Australian radio DJs reportedly blamed the pair directly for her death.
Jacintha Saldanha left three notes in her room at King Edward VII Hospital, one of which pointed the finger at the DJs and demanded they pay her mortagage, The Sunday Times reports.
The British newspaper says the note was addressed to hospital managers, and read: "Please accept my apologies. I am truly sorry. Thank you for all your support. I hold the Radio Australians Mel Greig and Michael Christian responsible for this act. Please make them pay my mortgage. I am sorry. Jacintha."
Ms Greig and Mr Christian had phoned the hospital in December last year pretending to be members of the royal family. They tried to get information about the Duchess of Cambridge, who was receiving treatment for acute morning sickness.
Ms Saldanha answered the call and transferred them to another nurse, who revealed private information about the duchess' condition.
Controversy erupted when a recording of the call was broadcast on the DJs' radio station 2DayFM without the hospital's knowledge.
Ms Saldanha was found dead two days later. A second inquest into her death is due to begin this week.
The Australia DJs were suspended from work following the call. Mr Christian now works at another radio station in Melbourne owned by 2DayFM's parent company, Southern Cross Austereo. Ms Greig has reportedly not returned to work.
