Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller could use jail time to create new show

She sobbed in court while being sentenced to jail, but it seems Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has bounced back - already looking for her next reality TV opportunity.

She told Entertainment Tonight she's going to pitch a new show while serving her year-long sentence in a federal facility.

"I have been so very successful… maybe that'll be some time to work."

The 50-year-old said the new show would be about dance.

Miller was indicted on 20 counts of fraud related to hiding US$755,000 (NZ$1,088,837) in earnings last year from her TV show and spinoff Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition.

She also talked with Entertainment Tonight about her prison expectations, saying it'll be a bit of an adjustment.

"There's a few physical limitations, dietary limitations [in prison], of course, but it'll be okay."
