English Indie songstress Florence Welch and her 'Machine' will be returning to Aotearoa for one show only in January 2019 at Auckland's Spark Arena.

Known for hits like 'Dog Days Are Over' and 'Shake It Out', the ensemble last played to Kiwi audiences in November 2015 in a sold out tour.

The band's fourth studio album, High As Hope, will be released at the end of this month.

Florence + The Machine performed 'Hunger', the second single from the upcoming album, on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show earlier this year.

This week saw the release of the third single, 'Big God'.

"If Welch's ethereal vocals made her sound like a goddess on previous tracks, she's a distinctly grounded one on 'Big God'  'Big God' is sparser, but gorgeously so," Paste Magazine said of the latest track.

The Grammy-nominated musical outfit is known for its ability to incorporate many genres into its sound. The instrumental line-up includes the harp, xylophone and violin.
