Ozzy Osbourne cancels New Zealand tour dates due to pneumonia scare

Ozzy Osbourne has announced he will be cancelling his tour of New Zealand, Australia and Japan due to his recent illness.

The rock legend also recently postponed his UK and European tour for the same reason.

His wife Sharon was quoted in a statement explaining the pull-out on Tuesday.

"Ozzy recently developed pneumonia and has spent some time in hospital. Thankfully he is now through the worst part," said his wife Sharon.

"His doctors have advised that he stay home to recuperate for a full six weeks with no travel."

Christchurch ticket holders will all receive full refunds, although Judas Priest will still perform in Auckland on March 16. Their supporting act is yet to be released.

Tickets will now retail at $99, and refunds will be available via Ticketmaster for those no longer wishing to attend.
