MTV VMAs: Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello's PDA-packed performance of Señorita divides fans

Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello have fans divided with a steamy performance at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

The pop music power couple performed their song 'Señorita' for the first time live together, whipping the crowd into a frenzy with an almost-kiss.

Rumours of a romance between the pair have not yet been officially confirmed, but soppy social media posts and paparazzi pashing pics all point to a blossoming relationship.

In any case, Mendes and Camilla weren't shy about getting up close and personal throughout the show, both on and off stage.

While some fans were thrilled to see the amorous performance, others questioned the credibility of the couple's chemistry.

"I don’t know which Shawn and Camilla performance is worse, this one or the one where they pretend to be in love," one Twitter user wrote.

"This Shawn and Camilla stuff seems so forced. Ugh. I love them both, but like I don't even know at this point," said another.

The duo went on to win the Best Collaboration award for 'Senorita', prompting Cabello to instruct the crowd to "get wasted" during her acceptance speech.
