Mai FM radio host K'Lee has shared the moment of her surprise engagement, covertly filmed while she and her family were visiting Lake Taupo during a school holiday trip.
In the clip uploaded to her Instagram page, the mother-of-four appears to be caught totally off guard when her partner of seven years 'Lama' drops to his knee and proposes.
The video seemed to have been filmed without the broadcaster, real name Kaleena McNabb, knowing what was about to happen.
K'Lee, who also co-hosts Newshub's Māori current events podcast R&R, knelt down in the sand to embrace her partner before celebrating with her children and showing them her new ring.
"2020 has been a big year for our whanau," she captioned the video, along with an engagement ring emoji.
The former pop star has been open about her "blended family", blogging about escaping an abusive relationship with the father of her first two children before meeting her current partner who she had her third and fourth children with.
