Has Britney Spears been forced off Instagram? Rumours circulate as video deleted, posts abruptly stop

More questions are being asked about Britney Spears' social media presence after the singer's last post was deleted and she hasn't uploaded anything since.

Gossip columnist Perez Hilton noted that Spears' most recent Instagram video - featuring her dancing to Madonna in lingerie - had been deleted, speculating that her 'team' might have taken control of her account.

The clip, shared on October 19, was one of many dance videos Spears has now become infamous for, along with a series of troubling updates about her summer activities.

Spears frequently shares content to her Instagram page, usually several times a week and often multiple times in one day. It's now been 10 days since her last upload.

"Um... where did Britney Spears go?" one fan asked on Twitter.

"No more Instagram posts?"

The comments sections of the 'Toxic' hitmaker's posts are filled with messages from concerned fans, convinced "something isn't right" about her appearance and mannerisms.

Proponents of the #FreeBritney movement believe the 38-year-old is being held against her will and mistreated under the conservatorship led by her father, which was implemented in 2008 after Spears' experienced several public breakdowns.

Meanwhile, others have suggested Spears' simply chose to take a break from social media after the constant comments about her mental state became too much.

"Britney Spears deleted her latest posts on Instagram, after they went viral and she was the victim of harassment, bad comments and all kinds of taunts about her alleged psychological instability," one fan account wrote on Twitter.
