The Feelers and Elemeno P announce summer tour starting on New Year's Eve

The Feelers and Elemeno P have announced they will be getting back on the road for a nostalgic summer tour beginning with a show on New Year's Eve.

Stalwarts of the Kiwi music scene throughout the 1990s and 2000s respectively, the two bands will return to the stage for four shows across the North Island in December and January.

The Feelers will take fans on a trip down memory lane with hits like 'Venus', 'Larger Than Life' and 'Communicate', while Elemeno P will perform their own chart-toppers like 'Verona', '11:57' and 'Fast Times In Tahoe'.

Feelers frontman James Reid urged fans to "warm up their vocal chords," saying it was a "humbling feeling to see everyone singing along to songs I wrote about the BBQ or kitchen table".

Meanwhile, Elemeno P's Dave Gibson recalled his band's first touring days alongside The Feelers, saying the group "learnt many a good and bad habit from these scallywags!"

"There will be singing. There will be beverages. There will be guitars," Gibson added.

The Feelers and Elemeno P's Summer Tour 2020 - 2021 dates:

  • December 31 - The Coroglen Tavern, Coroglen
  • January 2 - Butlers Reef, New Plymouth
  • January 3 - Finn’s, Taupo
