Six60, L.A.B. claim top spots on 2020 End of Year Official NZ Music Charts

For the first time in over a decade, Aotearoa musicians have topped the country's official charts for both album of the year and single of the year.

Six60's self-titled album and L.A.B.'s hit 'In the Air' beat all other musicians on the planet to claim the number one positions for 2020.

It's the first time New Zealand artists have topped both charts since 2004, when Brooke Fraser and Ben Lummis took out the top spots on the End of Year Official NZ Music Charts.

Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi and Billie Eilish also had albums in the top five for the year, while The Weeknd, Dua Lipa and Saint Jhn also had top singles.

The Official Charts reflect the highest-selling and streaming songs and albums, based on a combination of physical and digital sales, and on-demand audio streams collated from music providers throughout the country.
