Lil Uzi Vert is once again without his US$24 million diamond forehead implant after he revealed it was ripped out by fans at Rolling Loud festival.

The rapper was spotted without the unconventional 11 carat facial bling, wearing a barbell piercing in its place when he was asked what happened by paparazzi.

"I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped in the crowd and they kind of ripped it out," he explained to TMZ.

Back in February, Lil Uzi Vert shared a selfie that showed blood dripping down from the pink diamond in his forehead, captioned: "If I don't get it took out the right way I could die", followed by a laughing face emoji and the words "no seriously".

The rapper reportedly had the rock removed, only to have it re-fitted specially for his appearance at Rolling Loud.

Despite the setback, Lil Uzi Vert said he was "feeling good" and had somehow managed to retain the jewel.

The hip-hop star previously said he had chosen the facial implant rather than a diamond ring because he was afraid he would lose a ring.

"I'm Lil Uzi. I'm turnt up," he said on his Instagram after first getting the diamond implanted.

"So $24 million on a ring is the stupidest idea because I'm gonna look down and that ring ain't gon' be there. I know me. I wake up in odd places and different sceneries."
