Demi Lovato thanks 'Queen' Lizzo for correcting a paparazzo who misgendered them

Demi Lovato has thanked fellow pop star Lizzo for correcting a paparazzi who misgendered them.

In a now-viral video, Lizzo tells an unnamed cameraperson "Demi goes by 'they'," and corrects his use of "she" and "her" on several other occasions when talking about the 'Cool For The Summer' singer.

"Oh, you got me! Thank you for the correction," one of the paparazzi can be heard saying in the clip.

Lovato came out as non-binary earlier this year and uses they/them pronouns. After seeing the clip of Lizzo, Lovato shared it to their Instagram Story, writing: "Lizzo you f**king queen, I love you, thank you," according to Cosmopolitan

Sharing a message for non binary awareness week in July, Lovato said it was "okay" if people misgendered them, as long as they kept trying.

"It's a huge transition to change the pronouns I've used for myself my entire life. And it's difficult to remember sometimes!" the 'Sorry Not Sorry' singer wrote on Instagram at the time.

"As long as you keep trying to respect my truth, and as long as I remember my truth, the shift will come naturally.

"I'm just grateful for your effort in trying to remember what means so much to my healing process."
