Kanye West says Kim Kardashian's security prevented him seeing his kids, declares: 'You ain't gonna gaslight me'

Kanye West has insisted nothing will keep him from his children after accusing his estranged wife Kim Kardashian's security of preventing him from entering her home.

The rapper addressed all manner of drama in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, discussing Kardashian's new relationship with Pete Davidson and alleging he had been unable to accompany his daughter North to her room, along with explaining why he bought the house across the road from his ex-wife.

"My solace comes from seeing my kids and getting a solid schedule. That's why I even got the house," he said.

"They flipped it in the media like there was something wrong with me getting a house next to my kids. There's nothing with my career, with this rap, with this media - none of that is going to keep me from my children.

"That's what I want everybody to know - don't play with me, don't play with my children, and ain't no security gonna get in between me and my children and you ain't gonna gaslight me and you ain't gonna run this narrative on me."

While West didn't mention Kardashian by name, his comments appear to be squarely aimed at the KKW Beauty founder, particularly after an incident over the weekend when he alleged he hadn't been allowed to attend his daughter's birthday party.

In an Instagram Live video, West claimed he was banned from the festivities and wasn't given the address. He was later pictured at the event, catching up with Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner, and in a second Instagram video said he was "so happy" to have attended, shouting out Travis Scott for giving him the details and Kylie Jenner for "letting him in".

In his interview with Hollywood Unlocked, West detailed another situation in which he claimed "security stopped me at the gate" when he went to pick up his kids from school.

"I bring them back and North was like, 'I want you to come upstairs and see something.' And it's like, 'Oh, daddy can't come see something. Daddy can't come inside.' But that hadn't been defined," he continued.

"My daughter wanted me to go inside. I was like, I am the richest Black man and North's father, right, and the security was able to stop me from going into the room with my daughter and that had not been defined."

The 'Stronger' rapper also seemingly made a jab at Kardashian's new beau, comedian Pete Davidson.

"I am hearing that the new boyfriend is actually in the house that I can't even go to."

West also referenced Kardashian's on-screen kiss with Davidson, which took place when she hosted Saturday Night Live before her new relationship went public.

"How are you gonna bring me to SNL and kiss the dude you're dating right in front of me, and everybody's like, 'Aw, that's cool'?" West said.

"I can have my principles and things I've changed, and I backslide, and I haven't been the best Christian and things the media can make seem some kind of ways... but at the end of the day, I'm Jesus gang. I'm about family, just me and my kids, parenting.

"And I mean, my kids' mom - we are not together. I'm still gonna be the best dad."

Daily Mail reports that Kardashian was blindsided by West's allegations, with a source explaining he's never been prevented from seeing his children but isn't allowed to enter her house without her permission.

"That's only because she has set boundaries around his ability to enter the home at any time he wants after several incidents," the source said.

"She has a right to privacy and is trying to set healthy boundaries."
