Meghan Markle and Prince Harry held 'secret meeting' with Spider-Man stars Zendaya and Tom Holland - report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly reached out to Hollywood power couple Zendaya and Tom Holland for a "secret meeting".

Amidst the massive box office success of their recent film Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom and Zendaya were contacted by the Duke and Duchess "out of the blue", according to the Daily Mail's Richard Eden

"I hear that Harry and Meghan want some of the screen pair's stardust to rub off on themselves," Eden wrote.

The journalist claims an old friend of Harry's told him: "Tom and Zendaya were rather bemused, from what I hear."

"Tom had never met Harry or spoken to him in his life, so didn't know what they wanted," the source reportedly said.

The actors apparently agreed to meet with the Sussexes, who now live in California, with the meeting taking place in complete secrecy.

The reason for the get-together has not been revealed, but Eden suggests Harry and Meghan may be looking to recruit Tom and Zendaya for a media project.

The Duke and Duchess recently released a statement about their multi-million dollar deal with Spotify amid controversy over the streaming platform's most popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Harry and Meghan said they had "expressed their concerns" to Spotify about the consequences of COVID-19 misinformation.

"We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis," their statement read.

"We look to Spotify to meet this moment and are committed to continuing our work together as it does."

The royal pair also signed a hugely pricey deal with Netflix, but it's not yet clear what kind of content they will deliver.
