Pete Davidson has reportedly had to undergo trauma therapy after being subjected to months of alleged online bullying from Kanye West.

A source close to the comedian told People magazine that since April Davidson has "been in trauma therapy in large part" due to various posts from West online.

"The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger," the source said, adding "he's had to seek out help."

People also said Davidson, who recently split from Kim Kardashian, "has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she's been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship".

There has been no comment from West on the claims.

On Tuesday (local time), West shared to his social media a now-deleted mockup of the front page of the New York Times with the headline: "Skete Davidson Dead at age 28."

The 'Gold Digger' hitmaker had been vocally and publicly against the relationship between Davidson and his ex-wife Kardashian, 41, throughout the nine months the pair were together.

It is believed Kardashian ordered her ex-husband to take down the post, with sources saying she was less than impressed with his online attacks.
