Heartbreak Island finalists face their toughest challenge yet - crafting a poem

Warning - this article contains mild spoilers for episode 18 of Heartbreak Island.

The final two couples on Heartbreak Island have faced their biggest hurdle in their quest for love - creating a poem.

Couples Bailey Neate and Milly Forbes along with Aleisha Murray and Antoni made it through to the final challenge, which was split into two tasks.

The first saw them scrambling for bags, which contained something unknown in them but which they were told was important.

There were six bags each in total - Bailey and Milly managed to get all six bags, but Aleisha and Antoni could only get five.

Heartbreak Island host Clint Randell then revealed to the final two teams the reason for the bags - inside each bag were five words they needed to help craft a poem which "encapsulated their time on Heartbreak Island".

It meant a total of 30 words were needed for the rhyme.

When Randell revealed there would be just 10 minutes to complete the poem, Neate said he was "starting to crap myself - I was never that good at English at school, surprise, surprise".

Murray also wasn't impressed with the challenge.

"I don't really do poetry, I did well in school, I did well in English but writing a poem is literally about writing about our time at Heartbreak Island, which I'm not too confident about," she said.

She was even more unimpressed with the fact they didn't have all the words they needed.

"It's almost like telling someone to ride a bike without wheels, it's just not going to happen."

"We've been put through the wringer," Forbes said.

With $100,000 on the line, the final two will have to dig deep to try and take the Heartbreak Island crown.
