Australian celebrity Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins needed medical help after being bitten by a large snake during a challenge on reality TV show I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here.
The former professional sportsman and Bachelor star was tasked with placing his hand inside a cage with a snake for 30 seconds to win some food for the other celebrities on the show.
The snake was a non-venomous python, but that didn't stop it latching its fangs onto Cummins as he held his arm inside the cage.
After the animal drew blood, it quickly coiled around his arm and clamped its jaw on him. As Cummins began bleeding, the show's hosts called for a medic to come to the scene and a snake handler took the reptile off his arm.
The medic who tended to Cummins quipped: "He's alright. I thought his skin might have been a bit tougher being a honey badger. I think we'll be good."
Fans of Cummins congratulated him on achieving the time and the win for the camp.
"Wow Nick this is incredible effort," one wrote.
The Daily Mail reported Cummins is the highest paid star on the latest season of the reality show.
It's believed he netted around AU$300,000 to take part in the jungle-based reality series.
