Prince Harry announces return to UK, believed to be snubbing King Charles and brother Prince William

Prince Harry is once again expected to snub his family amid the news he will return to the UK in September.

The Duke of Sussex has announced he will deliver a speech at the WellChild Awards in London on September 7, just one day before the first anniversary of the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

It's expected he will then fly to Dusseldorf, Germany for the Invictus Games, which are due to begin on September 9.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Harry is not expected to see his father King Charles or brother Prince William during the visit.

Meghan Markle will not be accompanying him to the WellChild Awards, but she is expected to fly to Germany to join Harry for the games, the outlet also reported.

There's speculation Harry will need to ask Buckingham Palace for permission for somewhere to live, as he and Meghan were evicted from his former Windsor home Frogmore Cottage earlier this summer.

The duke has been patron of WellChild, the national charity for seriously ill children, for 15 years.

The charity was one of the few private patronages he kept after he and his wife stepped back from official royal duties.
