Jason Derulo says he 'can't wait' to play Kiwi-led hit 'Savage Love' for the first time in Aotearoa

Jason Derulo says he "can't wait" to play his hit song 'Savage Love' for the first time ever on New Zealand shores this November.

The R&B singer will be in the country for Fridayz Live 2023 on Thursday, November 16.

Derulo told The Project he "loved everything about" working with South Auckland music producer Jawsh 685 on the track, whose original tune 'Laxed-Siren Beat' became a TikTok phenomenon.

"It reminded me of my Caribbean roots," he said. "That sound was very reminiscent of something I was used to, something that caught me, something that caught me in the heart.

"I can't wait to perform it in New Zealand for the first time. I haven't performed it in New Zealand yet."
