Kevin Spacey taken to hospital after suspected heart attack in Uzbekistan

Kevin Spacey has been rushed to hospital after he suspected he'd had a heart attack in which he "felt my entire left arm go numb for about eight seconds".

The Usual Suspects actor told a crowd at the Tashkent Film Fest in Uzbekistan of the incident that occurred on Monday.

He was later given the all clear by doctors.

Spacey was in the city of Samarkand on Monday while on a tour of the Afrasiyab Museum and visiting a mausoleum.

"I was looking at these extraordinary murals on the walls and I suddenly felt my entire left arm go numb for about eight seconds," he said in a video published on US website TMZ.

"Now, everything turned out to be completely normal, and I am, of course, grateful that it's not anything more serious."

Spacey also said the attack had made him think "what we do what we can for the next generation".

"It also made me take a moment and think to myself how fragile life is for all of us and how important it is that we come together, that we support each other, what we do what we can for the next generation."

In July, the House of Cards actor was found not guilty on nine sexual offence charges at a trial in the UK.

The charges related to four men and incidents that allegedly occurred between 2001 and 2013.
