Antonia Prebble, Kim Crossman, Ben Boyce, Tegan Yorwarth - how Kiwi celebs are spending summer

After what felt like an endless year of rain, 2023 is finally done.

So far, 2024 has turned on the hot weather with all of New Zealand set to enjoy a run of hot summer days as many of us head back to work after a break.

Like most of us, Aotearoa's celebrities are taking to social media to share how they're spending the long, hot days.

Kimberley Crossman

The former Shortland Street star has shared a sizzling reel of shots to Instagram showing her enjoying family and boat time.

Titled simply 'Summer so far in Pauanui', Crossman's photos showcase fun summer times with her fiancé Tom Walsh.

Antonia Prebble

The Westside actress has also been in a water mood as well.

She posted on Instagram to demonstrate how she was enjoying time in the water with husband Dan Musgrove.

Tegan Yorwarth

Mai FM's breakfast announcer Tegan Yorwarth wins the award for the most enthusiastic posting of 2024 so far.

A series of pictures uploaded to Instagram showed Yorwarth enjoying time in a topless car, relaxing with friends at the beach, and partying at night.

The post was simply entitled: 'Could give this year a pash already.'

Jacquie Brown

In a cheeky set of images, Blow Up host Jacquie Brown could be seen frolicking in a pool as 2024 got underway.

Urging people to "take nothing for granted", Brown wrote: "With bountiful armpit hair and togs that are too small, I welcome in 2024 from the refreshing waters of a pool I don't own. Grateful for everything, appreciate it all, take nothing for granted."

Gin Wigmore

Musician Gin Wigmore chose to spend the start of summer with thousands of others at the annual Rhythm and Vines festival.

Uploading a series of pictures from her performance to her social media, the 'Written in the Water' singer said: "Ya stole my heart. Crowd was sensationally rad and me and my band had such a fun time rolling into 2024 with you all."

Brodie Kane

Under a post titled: "Good times and tan lines", broadcaster Brodie Kane showed off how she's been spending summer so far.

That included attending the Women's Tennis at Auckland's ASB Classic and time in the water with pals.

Ben Boyce

Finally, spare a thought for broadcaster Ben Boyce.

While others have been enjoying the summer outdoors, it seems the Jono and Ben star has been stuck on the bane of family life over the holiday period - the road trip.

Uploading a picture to Instagram, the comedian tried to put a positive spin on the hours stuck in gridlock, saying: "Settle our intense #notsponsored road trip debate - what's the best Fruit Burst flavour? I'm saying banana, Sienna is with strawberry and Indie with the purple berry one. Comment below to win nothing - but to help settle our family dispute."
